History has taught us lessons about human history
But Tragedy taught us more about lives, as The Greek philosophers said
How about some tragedies from comedy
Here I introduce to you, Wong Tsz Wah
He is just so famous that does not need description
However, my friends, have you seen his earlier production?
Those were the true pearl and diamonds
Speaking the unspoken sorrow of our modern lives
From family, love and politics
And all those absurd routines of our daily livings
He had made the way to reflect the problems
What we see everyday and what we ignore everyday
The problem of us
Wong Kar Wai might made some sentimental movies
making use the lines and images to impress you
But Wong Tsz Wah made his standup comedy by taking the contents of our abstract lives
to embed it to our minds
More observant I have become
About the truth of our community
And the truth of ourselves
May be someday I really will make a standup comedy to tell those tragedy that happen every day.
